Lenard Toye has more than 25 years experience in the construction and real estate industry. Harmony and beautyliterallyhas played a major theme in Lenard Toye's life. Len once worked as a replacement tenor for the world’s greatest opera singers: Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. He was flown around the world at a moment’s notice, and performed at the greatest opera houses in the world including La Scala (Italy) and before the crowned heads of Europe.
When Lenard retired he joined the family’s building and construction business near Philadelphia. He developed small real estate parcels in the Philadelphia Main Line area, building high-end custom homes. “I would often play classical music at my work-sites,” Len recalls, “It always filled the area with good energy.” His specialty was passive solar applications in residential design. When Len met a renowned Buddhist Feng Shui practitioner who performed an audit on his home and business office, a new perspective on harmonic energy evolved, “According to Chinese Feng Shui, the energy of landforms and the location of your front door can affect virtually everything in your life… health, wealth, happiness.” After completely remodeling his business office--moving walls, doors, and cabinets--Len realized that in order to efficiently harness the beneficial affects of Feng Shui, the construction and orientation of the home or building should be correct, first--right from the beginning. Quickly realizing a new and innovative design parameter for the construction industry, Len purchased dozens of books on Feng Shui, and worked with several different Feng Shui practitioners from different schools with varying levels of skill and knowledge. A remarkable odyssey into the world of “unseen geomantic energy” the Chinese world of tigers and dragons opened. He quickly discovered that degrees could easily vary on doors; stove directions were exceptionally important for health and wealth; birth dates play a critical role; and he even changed his residence, under the guidance of a Feng Shui practitioner, to test the limits of the venerated science. The novice steps into the complicated and sometimes contradictory world of Feng Shui can be extremely confusing. When Len met Denise Liotta-Dennis, a Certified Feng Shui Instructor and a Fellow Member with the Yap Cheng Hai Center of Excellence (YCH), the science of life groups, flying stars, and the simple elegance of, “Good Feng Shui,” began to make sense. Denise joined forces with Len, realizing the need for professionalism in the Feng Shui industry, and a desire to move the design approach beyond its present North American identity as another “interior decoration scheme.” With over 25 years experience as a business executive, interior designer, and entrepreneur, she has studied and trained with several noted Feng Shui masters, including Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai, and belongs to his 400-year Wu Chang Feng Shui Mastery lineage. Denise has consulted with hundreds of clients for both residential and commercial projects. Feng Shui Construction & Design is available for site selection, planning, design, and new construction--residential and commercial. Len and Denise astutely add a footnote for inspiration, “Remember, Feng Shui Construction is not only building a beautiful building or home… we are also building abundance, happiness, and health for our clients.” |
