| 1. Why should I build and design my house using Classical Feng Shui criteria? By incorporating Classical Feng Shui principles into your new home construction/design, the benefits are tremendous. The premise behind Feng Shui is to ensure that your home and the surrounding exterior environment supports and enhances greater human potential, opportunity, and positive experience. By orienting your home to a good direction, properly placing important rooms, and locating the ideal site for water features; you’ve increased your ability to weather the “storms of life” with minimum impact. 2. Do I need to find an architect to assist this process? No. Feng Shui Construction, LLC partners with one of the most prestigious architectural firms in Arizona. They have a working knowledge of Feng Shui and consult with our on-staff Mastery Level Feng Shui Practitioner. 3. How does the process begin; what do I need to do to get started? In order to begin the exciting process of designing your new home design, we set a day and time for “information gathering.” Our architectural team gathers pertinent information on your needs and desired aesthetics. The Feng Shui consultant interfaces with the architect to begin preliminary design. A site visit is also required for the assessment of the land. If you have not yet found or purchased a lot/site for your home, our Feng Shui Practitioner is available to assist with site selection. 4. Is the shape of the house important? Yes. The ideal house shapes are square or rectangular. These shapes ensure that all eight locations are representedS, SW, W, NW, N, NE, E, and SE. The chi, or energy, is evenly distributed, and all sectors of the house, good or bad, may be influenced to benefit the householders. In Classical Feng Shui these shapes are considered the “four point gold,” and are very auspicious. This does not mean that all other shapes are necessarily bad; odd shape buildings can also bring fortune and good luck to the occupants. 5. Are there specific areas of the home considered more important and vital than others in the design process? Yes, most definitely. The most important areas of concern are the location and direction of the front door, the kitchen location and stove placement within the kitchen, the home office, and the master bedroom. In Classical Feng Shuilocation and directionare vitally and equally important. 6. How about color and use of building materials; does this count in Classical Feng Shui? While the use of specific materials and certain colors can enhance individual areas of the home, the most important Classical Feng Shui factors in the home design and floor-plan are the correct chi/energy directions and their relationship to room placement. 7. What about a swimming pool or major water feature on my site design; can this be located anywhere on my property? The proper location of a major water feature such as a pool, pond, spa, or waterfall is one of the best kept secrets of Classical Feng Shui; where the water may flow from, and its proximity to the home. If a pool or water feature is located improperly, bankruptcy could ensue. However, if the feature is properly designed and located, it can bring great prosperity to the occupants. |
